About this course:

HVAC Systems Technician

Students enrolled in the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Systems Technician program at Dorsey will study maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and the repair of related equipment. In this comprehensive program, which provides the opportunity to learn through both class work and an externship, students will gain knowledge of the practicalities and technicalities of HVAC systems.

The curriculum at the HVAC Training School at Dorsey includes basic workplace skills and the fundamentals of HVAC, electricity, refrigeration, and residential and commercial systems. Additionally, blueprinting, system design, and the now topical environmentally friendly practices of weatherization and sustainability are taught. Students prepare for EPA Universal Certification.
